Hi-Phone Stylus ™
Recording Telephone Calls to the Hard Drive

Special Price: $349.99

Way2call™'s Hi-Phone Stylus - One small device that turns your PC and regular analog phone into a powerful communication and management tool. (This will not work on a digital PBX phone system. That would take a different product, the Phone2PC, which costs the same and has some but not all of the same features. )

The revolutionary Hi-Phone Stylus™ ,links any existing analog telephone (including cordless phones) to a PC enabling telephone calls and memos to be recorded on a PC's hard drive. Advanced compression allows 1 GB of hard disk space to store up to 290 recording hours. Recorded calls are simple to retrieve, can be played back on PC speakers or a telephone handset, and can be sent as email files.

The Hi-Phone Stylus™ comes with Caller ID and call progress analysis for incoming and outgoing calls. A user friendly interface provides total control over features and functions such as automatic, manual or backwards recording, audio compression and AGC levels (Automatic Gain Control). As required by law in some regions, custom recordable OGMs (Out Going Messages) and warning-tones can be activated to notify the other party that the call is being recorded.

In the diagram below, PSTN, Public Switched Telephone Network, is the same thing as the dial tone that the phone company delivers to your site.

Features unique to the Stylus analog unit:

  1. Rather than intercepting the call between the phone and the handset (or headset) it intercepts the call between the phone and the wall jack (which explains why it is limited to analog phones and why it is still effective on cordless phones).

  2. Integrated Caller ID when supported by PBX or phone company so that each recorded call is saved with the date, time and caller id information for easy retrieval.  The files come out as a .Wav file and a Text file attached both saved in a designated directory on your drives. The application will show a time stamp (Time, duration, caller ID, recording mode-Automatic,Manual or Backward). For an example of what the computer screen would look like (To see Computer Screen Picture -Files)

  3. Three Modes: Automatic, Manual, and Backwards recording modes (Computer Screen Picture -Mode)
    1. Automatic call recording and archiving. You can choose to set it where you do not have to command it to record each call for it will record all calls automatically.
    2. Manual application where you can choose when to record, pause or stop by pushing the device or by using your mouse, or command keys to control actions.
    3. Backward recording. The Backword recording refers to a regret mode built into the Stylus application. Say you are now on the phone and suddenly you wish you could record the call. The regret mode will let you have an additional decision point once the call is over. YES will save the call. No will delete it. This is an incredible feature which has amazing ramifications. This feature alone sets the value of this product far beyond any other. How many times after a call did you think of how dearly you would have wished you had recorded it.

  4. Notes can be added to the files of each call.

  5. Files will be input to hard drive giving the capability to Search and sort by various fields to find the file you are looking to retrieve such as date, time, and caller Id information.  Searching for a file could be done either from the application by simply sorting and scrolling the columns by their title or simply look for the files in your Win Explorer. Since these are standard Wav files, you could easily find them using the Windows Find function.  (To see Computer Screen Picture -Mode)

  6. Custom OGM - Outgoing Greeting Message - The application comes with a Standard "this call is being recorded" message however a replacement could be recorded using your windows recorder Mic and headsets or simply using the phone handset.  (To see Computer Screen Picture -Settings)

  7. When necessary there is a warning-tone for recording notification which is required by law in some regions.

  8. Indication of remaining recording time left on your hard drive which will hold up to a typical year of calls (290 hours).

  9. Device can be hooked up to physical recorders or headset.

  10. On the device itself there are indicators to show recorded call progress analysis.

  11. On the device itself there are LED indicating power, ring, handset on/off hook, Dial tone, Mute, or whether headset is plugged in.
